58-ամյա լուսանկարիչ Փիթ Օքսֆորդը այցելել է արևելյան Էկվադոր, որտեղ բնակվում են հաորանի (վաորանի, վաոդանի) ցեղի ներկայացուցիչները։

Ցեղը բաղկացած է շուրջ 4000 հնդկացիներից, որոնք սնունդ հայթայթում են որսի միջոցով։ Նրանք որսում են հիմնականում կապիկներ, ինչպես նաև թռչուններ։ Ցեղի ներկայացուցիչները թույլ են տվել Օքսֆորդին մնալ իրենց հետ և լուսանկարել իրենց առօրյան։

Հաորանիները ցածրահասակ են, տղամարդկանց հասակը՝ 154 սմ է, կանանցը՝ 144 սմ։ Նրանք խոսում են վաորանի լեզվով։
